Advanced scope care physiotherapy
Perth’s Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in Western Australia has launched the state’s first advanced scope care by physiotherapists for a rheumatology screening clinic. Patients with musculoskeletal conditions referred to see a rheumatologist, may be directed to an experienced musculoskeletal physiotherapist. This Physiotherapist works in an advanced scope role. He/She will undertake assessment and diagnosis and determine a management plan.
